SWIMMING CHANNEL IN OPEN WATERS
The permanent swimming channel “Serra Grossa” is the longest in Spain covering 2,000 meters (6,500 feet) marked with beacons in a unique natural environment. Thanks to the exceptional climate and its calm waters, it aims to become a world reference in this open-water swimming modality.
The Albufereta beach is the starting and arrival point of the permanent swimming channel “Serra Grossa”.
SWIMMING POOLS
Alicante city has excellent indoor and outdoor swimming pools in which several international swimming, rescue and lifeguard or synchronised swimming championships have been held.

CLUB ATLÉTICO MONTEMAR SWIMMING POOL
The Club Montemar Albufereta olympic swimming pool is divided into a 50-metre Olympic-size pool and an adjacent splash pool for the enjoyment of the children. The pool is surrounded by a large green area and sunshades. It also has changing rooms and a bar service in the club’s facilities.
