CYCLING

Alicante province offers professional and high-level athletes one of the most mountainous landscapes in Spain, adapted to road and mountain cycling in a natural environment. This geography has been the protagonist of a number of internationally renowned competitions.

Alicante has also been selected several times as the starting point of the Tour of Spain, known as the Vuelta Ciclista.

Over 150 km (93 miles) of bicycle lanes

To complement the sports offer, amateurs and professionals will find a large number of services at their disposal in the city, such as specialised companies dedicated to organising excursions and guided visits, bicycle rental and maintenance, or hotels that now loan bicycles to their guests, so they may engage in sports and visit the city in a different way during their stay.
