WATER SPORTS
Alicante city overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. Its coastline of open beaches and environments is ideal for the practice of nautical sports and competitions throughout the year. In fact, Alicante is the Departure Port of the famous Ocean Race International Regatta. Visitors will also find protected seabeds, such as the Tabarca Island Marine Reserve.

The home of Alicante’s maritime culture is the Real Club de Regatas. The headquarters are located at the Muelle de Poniente pier and the Sailing School is close by, in Avenida de Villajoyosa.
In addition, nautical sport aficionados will find numerous equipment and service rental companies at the Costa Blanca Nautical Club on the Albufereta beach, as well as at the Alicante Sports Marina headquarters.
Alicante has been the Departure Port of various editions of the renowned international regatta The Ocean Race.
